PASSENGER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Orian Travels (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) and its passengers. By purchasing a ticket or using the Company’s services, passengers agree to be bound by the provisions herein.
1. TICKET PURCHASE AND VALIDITY
1.1. Tickets may be purchased through authorized sales channels, including offices, agents, and approved digital platforms.
1.2. A valid ticket is required for boarding. Passengers must ensure that all details on the ticket are correct at the point of purchase.
1.3. Tickets are valid only for the date, time, and route specified.
1.4. Tickets are non-transferable unless otherwise approved by the Company.
2. DEPARTURE AND CHECK-IN
2.1. Passengers are required to arrive at the departure terminal at least 30 minutes before departure time.
2.2. The Company reserves the right to depart as scheduled. Late passengers may forfeit their seats without refund.
2.3. Boarding is subject to seat availability and verification of booking details.
3. LUGGAGE POLICY
3.1. Each passenger is entitled to one standard luggage not exceeding 10–15kg.
3.2. Additional luggage may attract extra charges at the Company’s discretion.
3.3. The Company shall not be liable for loss or damage to unchecked or improperly packaged items.
3.4. Passengers are advised not to include valuables (cash, jewelry, electronics, confidential documents) in luggage handed over to the Company.
4. PROHIBITED ITEMS
4.1. The following items are strictly prohibited:
- Explosives, firearms, and hazardous materials
- Flammable substances
- Illegal drugs and contraband goods
- Any item deemed dangerous by regulatory authorities
4.2. The Company reserves the right to inspect luggage and refuse carriage of prohibited items.
5. CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING, AND REFUND POLICY
5.1. Passengers may reschedule their trip subject to availability and applicable charges.
5.2. Cancellation requests must be made prior to departure time.
5.3. Refunds, where applicable, shall be processed in accordance with Company policy and may attract administrative fees.
5.4. No refunds shall be granted for missed trips due to late arrival.
6. BOARDING AND CONDUCT
6.1. Passengers must conduct themselves in an orderly and respectful manner.
6.2. The Company reserves the right to deny boarding to any passenger who is:
- Intoxicated
- Disorderly or abusive
- A threat to safety or comfort of others
6.3. Smoking, consumption of alcohol, or use of illicit substances is prohibited onboard.
7. SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE
7.1. Passengers must comply with all safety instructions issued by the driver or Company representatives.
7.2. Seat belts must be worn at all times where provided.
7.3. The Company shall not be liable for injuries resulting from non-compliance with safety directives.
8. DELAYS AND FORCE MAJEURE
8.1. The Company shall make reasonable efforts to adhere to schedules but does not guarantee exact departure or arrival times.
8.2. The Company shall not be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to:
- Traffic conditions
- Mechanical issues
- Weather conditions
- Government actions or civil disturbances
9. LIABILITY LIMITATION
9.1. The Company’s liability for loss or damage to luggage is limited and subject to proof of ownership and value.
9.2. The Company shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.
9.3. All claims must be reported immediately and formally lodged within 24 hours of arrival.
10. CHILDREN AND SPECIAL NEEDS PASSENGERS
10.1. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless otherwise permitted by the Company.
10.2. Passengers with special needs are advised to notify the Company in advance to enable adequate arrangements.
11. WAYBILLS AND PARCELS
11.1. Parcels must be properly declared and documented.
11.2. The Company reserves the right to inspect all parcels.
11.3. The sender shall be responsible for the contents of any parcel sent through the Company.
12. LOST AND FOUND
12.1. The Company is not responsible for items left behind in vehicles or terminals.
12.2. Recovered items may be claimed upon proper identification within a reasonable period.
13. AMENDMENTS
13.1. The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
13.2. Updated versions shall be made available through official channels.
14. GOVERNING LAW
14.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
15. ACCEPTANCE
15.1. By purchasing a ticket or using the Company’s services, passengers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
